Scott Ryder
Dealer Principal
Scott has worked at Ryder's and began his career in the motor trade 5 years ago. He has come into the business to take over the reigns of his father, and business owner, Stephen Ryder. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and spending time with family.
Jack Payne
Sales Manager
Starting as a driver for the service department, Jack has been at Ryders for 6 years now. In his spare time jack enjoys Kickboxing and has always been active, in his youth winning medals at a national level for cycling. Jack recommends the Ioniq 5 to customers due to it’s impressive amount of technology and bold design.
Emma Taylor
Service Manager
Helping customers in the motor trade since 2015, Emma tactically started at Ryders the day before lockdown in 2020 and has been helping customers ever since reopening. Emma’s car recommendation is the Kona N DCT due to its rarity and impressive handling. Emma had experience in the same role with BMW and Land Rover prior to joining us.
Simon Smith
Sales Executive/Motability Specialist
With over 3 decades in the motor trade, Simon has been helping customers at Ryders for 16 years! His first car was a bright red VW Beatle which is a big change to the Tucson Hybrid he now drives and highly recommends, “I just love it”. Other than his Tucson, the key to Simons heart is a good cruise.
Lindsay Gregory
Parts Manager
With 29 years of motor trade experience, Lindsay has worked at Ryders for 24 years! With an encyclopedic part number knowledge, nobody knows Hyundai parts better than Lindsay. When getting a cappuccino from the coffee machine, Lindsay gets 4 “Bullets” of sugar as “they are not full size”.
Sarah Ryder
Service Advisor
Sarah has worked at Ryders for 5 years, however she has known the retailer her entire life being a member of the owners family. Recommending the Kona EV, with its great acceleration and responsiveness, Sarah is unsure if she would ever go back to a petrol engine. Sarah has completed a half marathon and in the future would like to do a full marathon.
David Mellor

This is Matt’s first role in the automotive industry and he has been at Ryders for 3 years now, offering great advice and helping customers. Matthew is a keen sim racer with his dream car being a Porsche 911 GT3 which isn’t too far off the car he recommends to customers: the i20N with its outstanding handing and great Top Gear Review.

The newest member to the service team, with a background in customer service, Nathan is well prepared to help customers with his forward thinking and attention to detail. The All New Kona is Nathan's favourite car due to it's impressive technology and good road presence.
